User Profile Wizard 3.0 is the latest version of ForensiT’s powerful workstation migration tool. User Profile Wizard will migrate your current user profile to your new domain account so that you can keep all your existing data and settings.

Large-scale migration made easy

User Profile Wizard has been used to automatically migrate hundreds of thousands of workstations to new domains. It can be used to migrate workstations to a new domain from any existing Windows network, from a Novell NDS network, or join standalone computers to a domain for the first time.

No need to lose personal data and settings

As the Windows operating system has developed, User Profiles have become ever more important and are now an integral part of the way that Windows organizes data. In some circumstances however, this tying of data to a single user account can be a problem.

Normally, when you join your machine to your new domain Windows will create a new profile for you and you lose all your data and settings – your “My Documents”, “My Pictures” and “My Music” files and all the other information that makes your computer personal to you, like your desktop wallpaper, Internet favorites and the lists of documents you’ve recently opened.

User Profile Wizard is an easy-to-use migration tool that means this doesn’t need to happen – you can share your original profile with your domain logon, and with the User Profile Wizard command line interface and the User Profile Wizard Deployment Kit you can build a scalable, enterprise solution to automatically migrate tens of thousands of workstations.

Scalable – up or down

Unlike some alternatives, User Profile Wizard does not assume that there is an enterprise directory in place. It supports environments from Small Business Server through to Global Domain Consolidation.

Benefits

Migrates all user profile data and settings

Automatically joins a machine to a new domain

Can be used to migrate from a Novell NDS network

Supports all Active Directory, Windows NT 4.0 and Samba domains

Includes Enterprise strength scripting support

Supports push migrations of remote machines

Intuitive management interface

100% replication of user profiles

So many times I heard that OWA doesn’t work on Exchange 2007 server. There would be many reason behind it, like permission configuration, missing files, not able to load properly, .net errors ect…

There are different solutions base on various reasons but no one works then you may try by recreating OWA virtual directory which is giving problem.

Check and note the settings of directory in EMC before recreating it, like InternalURL, ExternalURL, Forms-Based Authentication settings ect..

Procedure:

First step is to identify the directory which is giving the problem.

You can use Get-OwaVirtualDirectory to get the list of virtual directories.

Now let’s say I have problem while accessing owa directory. Remove it with below command.

Remove-OwaVirtualDirectory “owa (Default Web Site)”

Now create it again with below command.

New-OwaVirtualDirectory -OwaVersion “Exchange2007″ -Name “owa (Default Web Site)”

Note: if you are recreating other than owa directory which are legacy Exchange directories then you need to use “Exchange2003or2000″ in OWAVersion switch instead of “Exchange2007″

Now configure the “owa” virtual directory settings like InternalURL, ExternalURL, Forms-Based Authentications etc… & check the OWA by logging with some test users.
